Science and Technology

Science and Technology at Great Denham includes the following National Curriculum areas; Science, D.T. and Computing.  Our Science and Technology curriculum team is led by Miss Bliss and includes Mrs Preece, Miss Lamptey, Mrs Swanepoel and Miss Ewang. Science is a focus this year on our school improvement plan ( more information can be found on this in the school improvement section).

Computing is taught largely through ipads, however there are PC's in each class and we also have some chrome books for Year 5 and 6. From Year 3 upwards we offer a 1-1 pad scheme for all our pupils with current take up around 80% of pupils.

At Great Denham all of these subejcts are taught through our project curriculum. Occasionally  in Upper Key Stage 2 ( Year 5 and 6) Science can be taught discretely if there is a skill needing to be taught that does not fit in with the project.

The links below will take you to the skills grids for each area of the curriculum outlining the objectives and skills that will be taught in each year group.
