Leave of absence
As a Parent/Carer, you should fill in our leave of absence form if you want to take your child out of school for any reason during term time.
- In line with Government Legislation with effect from 1st September 2013 Headteachers' have the discretion to grant leave, but will only do so in exceptional circumstances. If the headteacher grants a leave request it will be for them to determine the length of time that child can be away from school. This leave is unlikely, however, to be granted for the purpose of a family holiday.
- Parents can be fined for taking their child on holiday during term time without consent from the school.
Once your form has been filled in, this will be processed and you will hear back within a week.
